Nikola Ragusa , M.D. is a highly-experienced glaucoma expert and laser cataract surgeon.
Dr. Ragusa attended the prestigious seven year program at CUNY Medical school and graduated, top honors, Alpha Omega Alpha from the Downstate School of Medicine. He was Chief Resident at Northwell for his ophthalmology residency and Chief Glaucoma Fellow at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and actively teaches and guides doctors in training.
Dr. Ragusa is active in both academic and private practice settings. He is a micro-incisional glaucoma surgery (MIGS) specialist and has given lectures all over the United States. He provides comprehensive eye care and treatment options specifically tailored for his patients. He was one of the first doctors in the United States to offer Femto Laser Cataract Surgery, OMNI Canaloplasty, the Hydrus microstent, Synergy Multifocal Extended Depth of Focus Lens, amongst others.
He is dedicated to research and has published a number of papers. In addition he was a principal investigator on the phase 3 ARTEMIS Bimotoprost SR trial, iCare Home tonometer, and a sub-investigator on the Heidelberg Tomography Glaucoma Normative Database. He has over a decade of clinical experience and is one of the most experienced surgeons by volume in the New York Metro area.

Dr. Kimberly Uy, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Kimberly Uy earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. She completed her clinical training at VA Portland in Oregon, East Boston Community Health Center in Massachusetts, and Naval Health Clinic in Rhode Island. She then completed her residency in ocular disease at SUNY College of Optometry and Woodhull Medical Center in New York, managing cornea and anterior segment disease, retinal pathology, and glaucoma. She is a recipient of the Marchon Practice Management Award of Excellence.
Dr. Uy is a member of the American Optometric Association and New York State Optometric Association. She traveled to the Dominican Republic with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity to provide eye care. She has presented posters at academic meetings and delivered COPE-approved lectures.

Maciel Cruz, O.D., F.A.A.O., is a bilingual optometrist at New York Ophthalmology. She provides full scope optometry services, including eye disease management and treatment, and dry eye disease treatment. She’s passionate about providing exceptional eye care for her patients in the New York area.
Dr. Cruz achieved her Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida and then earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services University. She finished her residency in hospital-based primary care optometry and ocular disease at the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center, managing anterior segment disease, retinol pathology, glaucoma, and urgent care. After her residency, she completed her fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Cruz is a member of the American Optometric Association. She has presented at a number of academic meetings and given Council on Optometric Practitioner Education-approved lectures.
